MDA Information Systems LLC is looking for a Radar image processing engineer in our Ypsilanti, MI location. The position provides an opportunity to work with and develop cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services.

MDA is an industry leader in earth observation remote sensing technology and image processing. We build satellite ground systems that enable users to acquire and process imagery from the most sophisticated Earth-observing satellites in the world: much of the satellite imagery that you see on Google Maps was generated by our software!
To be qualified you must be a US Citizen and capable of obtaining TS/SCI Clearance within 6 months period.
Job Requirements
Analyze, design, develop and test systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety and other requirements in the total engineering effort.
Author, design and maintain toolsets to generate, manipulate and test systemdata
Additional Responsibilities include formulating operational concepts; performing mission, functional, cost-benefit and risk analysis; selecting systems architecture; and preparing specifications for MDA Information Systems LLC operating systems to ensure designs meet applicable security specifications.
These individuals may also be asked to document security on both new and fielded information systems or provide accreditation/certification evaluation and test support to ensure all technical security features are considered and functioning properly.
Candidates must demonstrate passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of various engineering systems and the ability to further advance MDA technology.
Qualifications (Preferred)
Strong computer programming skills (C++, C, Matlab, similar) with experience in digital signal and image processing (formation, manipulation, exploitation) and techniques.
Experience with synthetic aperture radar (SAR) geometry, signal and image processing, analysis and algorithm development.
Integration and verification of technology, operational image processing, exploitation, visualization tools, product standards and definition.
This job will consist of working with other skilled Engineers to test and implement new modeling and processing algorithms and products.
Major in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Math and experience with SAR DSP product development, and optimization for advanced exploitation.
Education - The Senior Systems Engineer position requires a bachelor or master degree in a specialized area, field or equivalent achievement in related work experience. (5 -10 years)
