Stable, consistent, well managed, growing their one supplier is searching for a Production Supervisor. This is a successful company with a world class team of long term employees. They continue to increase sales, launch new programs and invest in new capital equipment. They also invest in developing their valued associates creating a employee skilled trades training program. This corporation has a management team focused on continuous improvement and quality. This is a precision machining operation with a variety of machine tools. We are searching for a solid leader to manage, guide and coach 45-55 skilled team members. This is a non-union facility with a wealth of talent. The Production Supervisor will work from a production schedule generated by their ERP system and executive the production plan. This position will communicate production objectives, assign work, allocate resources, problem solve, mentor and coach team members, strong planning, follow up, communication, computer and leadership skills are needed. A basic understanding of machining operation is preferred. Knowledge of MRP or ERP software and/or strong computer skills is needed. The Production Supervisor will maintain production, and employee records. This position is responsible for entering data and analyzing production metrics using data to adjust production and ensure on-time delivery. Other responsibilities include hiring, training, disciplining motivating, coaching, reviewing and promoting associates.
MUST HAVE: 5 plus years of supervision with a team oriented management style. Experience working in a machining environment is preferred. We dont need a machinist, however, prefer a basic knowledge of machining and previous experience resolving basic production issues. Interested candidates will need good computer skills or experience with a ERP / MRP system to monitor production metrics, generate reports and enter employee records.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
