Manager, Ground Services (GS) POSITION PURPOSE:
At the direction of the GS manager and at the pace of the mission, provide guidance to the GS team and support any and all administrative functions of the GS manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Organize daily meetings with team on staff and list any unresolved concerns.
This could be in the form of a conference call depending on WFH status.
Obtain a daily ULD report, including lease status, China inventories and any upcoming flights not currently equipped.
Obtain a daily report on active charters, open items on each and plan for resolution Primary liaison with Duty Manager throughout the day and week to recognize and resolve any immediate concerns.
Coordinate with Customs Compliance on any warehouse issues, including missing cargo, customs holds and military base access Coordinate with MX Control on any needed Ground Services assistance, GPU's, loaders, stairs and any other support needed to resolve and shorten MX and AOG related delays.
Coordinate with Chief Pilot Office personnel, and/or the CPO directly with any concerns they may have.
Including but not limited to, station guidebooks, COVID related matters, diplomatic contacts, foreign language internals Coordinate with Special Projects on any open items they need filled.
Be on call in concert with the GS manager's schedule, divided equitably.
Be present in the OCC on any scheduled trips of note, in concert with GS manager's schedule Be in possession of a valid passport and available to travel on company aircraft and commercial flights, often at short notice.
This will largely be a day shift position spent predominantly in the OCC, but any shift may present itself at the desertion of the GS manager.
Be prepared to grasp Delegation of Authority, cover weekends, holiday schedules, sick calls and unseen manpower concerns, all within reason.
Maintain the personnel schedule and post it accurately in the Z drive.
Exposure to the needs of sales and customers will be essential to this position.
Review and recommend any responses to invoices for services Take an active role in SGHA formation, especially during PEAK season preparation.
EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Have performed satisfactorily at the supervisory level in Ground Services, and Cargo Services And/or Have been a certified Load Master LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Any language skills, Spanish in particular, would be welcome, but not required.
Qualifications:
Must be able to communicate with staff, other department managers and outstation groups.
Must be aware of all handling contacts.
Must be able to navigate KAMIS, MISA and ASTRO programs.
Must have experience in MICROSOFT OFFICE suite of programs.
Must keep a professional appearance and demeanor.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Employee will perform duties in an office setting, except when traveling, which could be performed in warehouse, ramp and field conditions.
Although 'work from home' provisions exist, this is an in office position that will have the occasional WFH allowance.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
